In the Vinho Verde region there is a popular grape that is very versatile, Espadeiro - very disease resistant and easy to work with. These grapes give so little dye that they produce rosé wines that became popular by the name of "espadal", sometimes with slight natural gas, which is a very fresh drink on various occasions. Tapada dos Monges, from a well-known producer of Vinhos Verde, is a modern "espadal", with a beautiful pink colour, fruity aromas without exaggeration, elegance, very fresh, concentrated, very nice. The palate is full and the wine maintains its body in the mouth, with red fruits and a fantastic acidity, controlled, an optimal structure, a wine that will surprise many people. Well chilled, you can very well drink this by itself, in the evening, but it will nicely accompany sushi and sashimi in front of the sea at sunset.
