Guide 2011 - João Paulo Martins

Miogo White 2007 - Medium bubble and a higher persistence that other vintages.  In the nose it shows hints of fresh fruit with some vegetal notes, all a bit subtle but providing a pleasant tasting. The fruit and vegetal notes repeat in  the mouth with a nice acidity that gives freshness to the whole of the wine. Good to serve as an aperitif or with a meal. Very nice assemble and worthy of attention.

Tapada dos Monges Alvarinho - This wine accentuates the mineral and dry vegetal character of the Alvarinho grape variety, instead of the usual citric notes. With such a character the wines are much better enjoyed with a meal. Good volume, an acidity perfectly integrated in the whole, this is a gastronomic wine, better used for drinking rather than talking.
