The brand Tapada dos Monges arises as a tribute to the monks who, in the 12th Century, introduced winemaking to this region.

Exploring the great potential of one of the noblest grape varieties of the region – Loureiro – this monovarietal was introduced in 2005 and it stands out thanks to the well defined floral aromas.

Tasting notes

When intensity is in order, do not hesitate…choose Tapada dos Monges Loureiro. This white Vinho Verde is made from one of the noblest grape varieties of the region which grants a pale lemony colour, well defined floral aromas and a fresh taste of ripe apples. It is a perfect combination for seafood, fish and light dishes.

Should be served at 8° – 10°C.
